Melisa Ibrahimi, an explosion of talent at the Marcelo Theater. •• "Melisa Ibrahimi the Kosovar pianist showed her virtuosity with incredible passion, sending her playing into a crescendo of emotions that reached the peak in the last part, where her hands seemed to dance frantically on the piano, transmitting extraordinary beauty ".

•• "The audience was mesmerized by the pianist's ability to evoke such strong emotional feelings through the piano keyboard, letting the spectators experience a world of colors."

•• "The interpretation of the first part, however, was a real masterpiece of emotional expression. Melisa Ibrahimi was able to convey every shade of sadness and melancholy contained in the composition, making every sound a fragment of pure sincerity and depth."

  • Classical Music Daily: ........ Melisa led us on a non-stop rollercoaster ride through no less than four of Franz Liszt's most virtuosic lightnings. I've been to many piano recitals over the years and I honestly can't remember ever seeing a pianist with such virtuosity, energy, joy, and seeming effortlessness.

Her progress on the piano is incredible. I have followed her since she was 16 years old! She is musical, virtuoso and has an extraordinary musical temperament, especially in the compositions of Franz Liszt! She constantly strives for higher and higher achievements! Brilliant.

Classical Music Daily 1999: Melisa Ibrahimi She rises again as a Queen. An erupting volcano of music… tremendous musical talent…

Hands that peoduced this vulcano! Melisa Ibrahimi...“She plays, she pounds, She rises again as a Queen. Mazeppa and Liszt would be proud and so should she.” ..... “An erupting volcano of music… tremendous musical talent… she makes music from Liszt’s spurting torrent of notes.”

"Classical Music Daily 1999'.......I am struck by just how powerfully she moulds this constantly erupting volcano of music. ...This is an enormously difficult balancing act to execute successfully, which Melisa does admirably."

After having witnessed in the flesh her tremendous musical talent I am not surprised at all that for her opening mark on posterity she has decided to record one of the most ferasomely difficult pieces in the entire piano repertoire. When I listen to Melisa’s new recording I am struck by just how powerfully she moulds this constantly erupting volcano of music; how she makes music from Liszt’s spurting torrent of notes, keeping this runaway train from flying off the tracks but also how she understands perfectly when the piece requires power and when it requires poetry. This is an enormously difficult balancing act to execute successfully, which she does admirably.
